Tara was an advanced qualified Financial Planner in the UK for six years.  When she came to New Zealand, she led a Financial Planning team for a major bank, and also worked for two of the main Insurance companies in NZ, her last role being National Manager.  She has achieved Advance qualification in the UK and Certified Financial Planner status in NZ.  

​She has a wealth of experience providing advice to clients and most importantly really cares about ensuring that clients are given the best advice for their personal circumstances.  She takes her role as an adviser very seriously as she is well aware of how important a good risk management plan is for people in their times of crisis.

Rosy Hannaway​, Registered Financial Adviser

Rosy is passionate about Risk Management after being brought up in a family of Financial Planners and Bankers.  She would say she has literally lived and breathed it and observed how good financial planning has helped people.  She has studied up to Post Graduate level at University and continues to focus on education to ensure that she provides great advice to customers.  Albeit Rosy is in the first few years of her career, she has been trained personally by Tara Nel, who vouches for her knowledge, professionalism and great customer care.

Rosy is an avid sportswoman representing New Zealand in athletics.  She also has a specialist interest in fitness, and as well as providing financial advice, she also has a business advising people on fitness and nutrition.  Fundamentally she cares about people and supporting wellbeing in both financial health and physical health.  She understands the importance of a well structured risk management plan and continually strides to ensure her customers are protected appropriately.

Daniel Smithwood, Registered Financial Adviser

Daniel began his insurance career in 2005. He works closely with first-home buyers, self- employed professionals and small business owners. He is committed to ensuring that his clients’ needs are clearly identified and met with appropriate, transparent and affordable risk management solutions.

Daniel strongly believes in building long-term relationships with his clients to ensure he delivers on promises made.  From the initial advice to policy implementation, through annual reviews and claim time he provides clients with consistent, professional and personable service. He believes insurance advice needs to be individually tailored, fully transparent and regularly reviewed.
Outside of work he is very active; hiking in the hills and mountains with friends and family, enjoying all NZ has to offer.

Majid Akhavian, Business Development Manager

Majid has over 14 years’ experience working in the mortgage and insurance industry. He has a good understanding of insurance, with an ability to identify how the business can best support people. He prides himself in customer care and the long term relationships he builds with his clients.

Majid has lived in Sweden for many years and he made New Zealand his home for him and his family 14 years ago. He is a knowledgeable, ethical and experienced member of our team, who helps connect customers with the most suitable insurance adviser within the business.
